Candied Walnuts

Ingredients:

½ cup water

2 tablespoons brown sugar

½ tablespoon cinnamon

1 cup raw, whole walnuts

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.

In a medium saucepan, add the water, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Cook the mixture down until it reduces by about half. This will take about 5-8 minutes. It should be a pourable syrup.

Next, add the walnuts to the pan and stir until each walnut is completely covered in the brown sugar mixture.

Next, lay out the coated walnuts onto a parchment covered sheet pan. Cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the brown sugar hardens and the walnuts are visibly toasted. Once done, let them sit for a minute or two to cool before using or storing them.

Add these to salads, grain bowls, or just as a sweet snack!
