Tempeh Bacon
Ingredients:
1 block of tempeh
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
In a large bowl, add soy sauce, liquid smoke, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and apple cider vinegar. Mix until well combined. Set aside.
Cut the block of tempeh into thin slices width-wise.
Place sliced tempeh into the bowl with the marinade and gently stir until all of the tempeh slices are submerged and coated. Let sit for 15-20 minutes.
Once the tempeh has had time to marinate, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, place marinated tempeh in one layer in the skillet. Cook until browned on each side and slightly crispy.
